Produce Pro's history

Produce Pro was established in 1990 as an offshoot of Subject, Wills, & Company. Even in those early days, our goal was to become the very best at what we do: supporting produce companies with software designed specifically for them.

The earliest version of our system went live in 1991 for Caruso Foods, Cincinnati, Ohio, back when we had only a few staff members.

As they say, the rest is history. Over the years, we've grown to a thriving mid-sized company. In 2005, we officially moved our headquarters into our own office space in Woodridge, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago), and we also have offices in Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Above all, we prize our relationships with our clients: we view them as "family," and their ideas and requests shape our new innovations every day. In fact, many of the features in our software began as ideas from our users — their suggestions mutually benefit others in the user base, and with their help, we're able to make our offering better and better. We're proud to support more than 95 of the most successful companies in the produce industry, and our community of users continues to grow.
