A tour of the Produce Pro system
In this section of the tour, we'll introduce the major functional
areas of the Produce Pro system. We think you'll
find that our base system already includes everything you need to
run a successful business. In fact, many of our developments begin
as ideas and suggestions from other produce companies who face the
same challenges that you face, every day.
Many of the features described here come standard with
Produce Pro, whereas the add-ons (listed in their own section)
are optional "extras," designed to address particular business needs.

and every component of
Produce Pro is under our control, and all data and logic flow

and ensures that you can depend on reliable, real-time information.
It also means that we can customize our applications to meet your needs, without
having to wait for third-party release schedules or amassing extra
licensing costs.

tried-and-true base technologies that make the most sense — not only
for us, but also for our clients.
- Correspondence methods to suit any need. Produce Pro lets
you send documents to your customers quickly and easily, using whatever
method you deem appropriate. For example, it includes a built-in fax
application, so you can fax documents directly from the system on
demand. Produce Pro can also e-mail documents and reports in various
formats, including rich text and PDF.
- Remote connectivity. Our system can easily support off-site
employees, multiple warehouse facilities, and even geographically distinct
business units. All parts of the system, including add-on applications
like E-commerce, communicate in real time — there's no risk
of data getting out of sync.
- Automated tasks and background processing. The system
handles tedious, repetitive tasks, allowing your staff to spend
valuable time on other duties. Our "job scheduler," an engine that
runs in the background, can be configured to automatically run
reports, generate and distribute price lists, interrogate inventory,
and perform numerous other tasks.
- Configurable data entry screens. Use only the fields that
are important to your business, and skip the rest. You'll be able to
eliminate wasted keystrokes and reduce entry errors.
- Flexible, powerful reports. The system includes more than 200
standard reports. Most of them are configurable, offer maximum flexibility,
and can be exported for use in a spreadsheet program.
- Security. Access to Produce Pro programs and functions can be
controlled by user or by group, in as much or as little detail as you
